    Pierce County/Thurston County/JBLM meetup?

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in this?

I'd be very interested in meeting fellow OCers from the area.

OK, here is a neutral location: Starbucks in Dupont.

I would like to suggest a late afternoon meet, say about 5pm for a change. Some of us work on the weekends. Somebody else pick a day.

Yeah, he said "some of us work weekends." I think that means Sunday is no good for him. It's not like having more meet-ups is a bad thing. Just allows more people to get together is all.

I would be game for a weekday also, late afternoon/early evening. Would be the most convenient for me to make it out, usually busiest on the weekends.

can try to make it saturday but start leave that day for hunting season, will see. I'm a maybe.

did the south sound OC meet last month, would like to see more meet and greets though for use Yelm-anians and Fort Lewisians...

    DoD Issues

JBLM folks cannot carry on post/base, so dayshift workers will have issues.

Understood, (21 years Army, I retired from Ft. Lewis). This is a Saturday, plus actually having a weapon with you is not required. It is open even to people who are not old enough to carry either open, or concealed to include family members. It is just a meeting of like minded individuals for open discussion, and coffee. Come, and enjoy!

Pretty sure I'm going. It's half way to cabelas. So I have two reasons to go. Might bring an open carry friend that's not on the site, depending when his kids get dropped off.

Ok, there were three of us that made it. Good conversation, and coffee. One person it was there first time OCing. Good to have you back from Korea rellio. Afterwords my son, and I went to the Japanese restaurant next door. The place is kind of pricey, but we did have enough leftover for my lunch tomorrow.

Is this going to become a regular thing? I have not been online much lately and just saw this post. A bit late. Would like to catch others and enjoy a good coffee & chat.

I don't see why it couldn't be a regular/semi regular thing. As long as it falls on a weekend I'm not working I'm game.

I have Wednesdays and Thursdays off generally. I work 4 or 5pm to 10pm, so early afternoon would be good for me.

Hey Paddy, I haven't seen you in forever. We should meet up in Lakewood. I get off at 3:30 so if you work at 5 that might work out. Or either of your days off. Let me know when it works for you.

What are your days off? For me 3:30 is cutting it close since I generally leave home about a half hour before I get to work. And I have nowhere to store my firearm at work so I leave it at home, unfortunately. However if you're available on one of your days off I could meet earlier if that works for you.
