Ok I was asked though a pm how my ride along was! So ,lets start by saying I went with a new friend of mine,we've known ach other for about 2 weeks,he is a friend of my daughters. He is a deputy sheriffs and has been here for about 7 yrs, great guy, it was a very slow night,he wasn't called a single call,we went on a few as back up. We did check out 1 car, where the guy was so drunk he could not drive,my friend asked him if he could give the guy a ride home,we were at least 30 miles from the guys home,he accepted and we drove him home,I'll say this, even if it was just a show for me, he treated this guy with the utmost respect as good be,very polite with the guy,the guy did everything right as far as drinking and driving on his part,he was very intoxicated so he pulled over, took the keys out of the ignition and passed out in his back seat. We went and did a backup on a domestic violence call where the guy had a no contact,he did contact her and was in violation, went to last known address and tis guy answered completely naked, not sure why he was but the guy they were looking for was no longer there, said good night. This guy they were looking for had a history of fighting with the police, finally found him, they officer I was with was again very professional with how he spoke with him,had him get in the back of the Tahoe, without patting him down and cuffing him, checked with the Lacey pd to see if he was needed to be arrested, after finding out that they did want him,he talked to the guy and told him he neede to place him under arrest,I think myself, how he taked to this guy,and treated him made it so much better on how the arrest went, this guy I saw on the computer screen had no problems fighting with the police,I think the way the officer treated him made a big difference. I will talk to him a lot more about his feelings about cc and oc in the near future,I do know he likes if you inform him if you are cc'ing when you are stopped if you do something wrong. But is more forgiving if you are more upfront,if you know what I mean.
