DeSantis Viper Paddle Holster

I have the natural leather and am very please with the holster. Anyone have any experiences regarding the "life-span" of the holster? Particularly the expansion of the leather due to normal wear-and-tear and routine leather maintenance. It is the holster I use for everyday carry regardless of the weather conditions. I use saddle soap on the out side about once a year unless it would be better to go to every other year.

Thoughts are welcome.

All the DeSantis holsters I've seen came with a card that expressly said to apply no conditioners or anything.

Yikes! Yepper it is in there. I'm glad I used a cotton swab amount only once......thanks for saving a good holster!
