That's beautiful. What was the original finish, blackened stainless?

The original finish was blued stainless yeah. Some vinegar and elbow grease gives a nice smooth finish, not quite mirrored, but very nice.

If you had said it came from the factory like that, I would have believed you. Good work!

Looks great! Add's some nice contrast to the gun and sets yours apart from the others. I like Individuality, and you have achieved that! Nice Job!

Oh and a nice thumbs up to Dremels. Otherwise your hands would be hurting like crazy after all that polishing!

The dremel definitely made things easier. I used vinegar and a green scratch pad to remove the bluing, then hand polished it with Mothers for a few hours before I broke out the dremel for details and a final polishing.

My original plan was to strip it down and refinish it, but I might leave it shiny, for a while at least.
