What!?! This forum has audio!? I missed that! Where's that button?
I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.

It's between your bottle of Avon nail polish and your jar of Kentucky Jelly.

Welcome. Just make sure you have a thick skin, you're going to need it some times.

We have a pretty good group here. Well Citizen is just pretty but don't chastise Citizen's choice of nail polish.

    Welcome from Spokane!
Jesus thought it was more important to be armed than well dressed:

Then said He unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his
scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.~Luke 22:36

    (Emphasis mine.)

(Note that the word "garment" here refers to an outer cloak, equivalent to today's sport coats or
suit jackets in that they both provided warmth and conveyed a certain level of sophistication.)

considering I still have a year to go before I can legally OC in my state I have to be really polite and hide my screen name identity from everyone when I attend the meets, they still think my screen name is "grapeshot"

    LOL

Welcome to the forum! Be sure to read through the FAQ section of this forum before asking questions. Many times the answers you're looking for can be found there. You should also check out the state info section of the website. There's some good stuff there, too.

Like someone already said, be sure to come to some of the meets. We're pretty friendly in person.

Except Bookman, he's awful, he'll have coffee with you, talk with you, and not get mean or anything.

Well, that is when he remembers to show up at the meet ups.

There are quite a few of us in B'ham. If you are in the neighborhood we can do a coffee meet.

They are the people's liberty teeth (and) keystone... the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable... more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference .When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour." -- George Washington

You might have to call him and remind him a few times.

He is getting a bit gray around the fringes.
