    Chicago Bullet Tax

Yeah this is really gonna help curb crime. I can see the criminals now. Wait I gotta pay a 5 cent tax on every bullet now? I am gonna stop committing crimes.

We all speak of liberty and freedom like we are the only ones that know the truth and the right path. But if we expect everyone to accept and follow our path and to accept our truth and want to force it upon them then that is no longer liberty or freedom. It is slavery. I believe in liberty for all. Regardless of their political views, religion, race, sex, etc.

The way to deter crime in Chicago is to arm the good citizens of Chicago.

The "good" citizens of Chicago could hold their meetings in a booth at Denny's...

Chicago is run by a bunch of corrupt anti American libtards that LOOOOVE the crime. Thats how they keep trying to push for more and more unconstitutional laws. Im from Illinois and I can tell you, chicago runs that state and there are alot of good decent freedom loving people who are really getting fed up with the likes of that liberal, socialist, communist bunch of ass hats in chicago.

Let's understand something: The name of the game is "control and power". You cannot have that "control and power" if the ordinary citizen is armed and has the means to resist any and all criminal activity (including that of elected and appointed officials).

Think about it: If you arm the citizenry, crime rates, as have been documented, drop. When the crime rates drop, you have less need for a huge police force. With the reduction of the police force, you lose the need to impose more taxes and garner more federal government grants. Guess what? You've lost the "control and power"!!

You also have politicians and, unfortunately, some citizens who think that the solution to any problem is to throw more laws at the problem. This is especially true of crime. What these people are too completely stupid to realize is that criminals, by the very definition of the word "criminal", have no respect nor regard for any law.

All the other arguments and comments are valid. There's just point that everybody seems to be missing -

There are Wal-Marts* outside Chicago/Cook County.

An afternoon in the 'burbs/visiting exciting Gary, Indiana is all it takes.

    stay safe.

    * - I'm just picking Wal-Mart as being probably the most convenient/easy to find. There are many chain, local and mom&pop establishments to choose from.

Most Walmarts in Cook County don't carry gun supplies now ... went looking for clays & had to go out of the county .. guns are bad is the motto in Cook (except for the government that is).

"It is very important to us to tax guns because we know that guns are the sources of the incredible violence we have in our neighborhoods," Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle told a news conference. She said 29 percent of guns used in crimes in Chicago were purchased legally in suburban Cook County.
    Wait, what?

I feel like this is sorta like blaming cars for drunk drivers
