    Comp-Tac Gladiator Holster

I bought a Comp-Tac Gladiator holster for my G19 Gen 4 and love the holster. However, last night I went to put on my the holster and I noticed my G19 didn't have any resistance when pulling it out. I looked and noticed that the tension screw was completely out and that one side of the holster was out! That was a scary moment as had I been carrying the potential was there for the gun to fall out. Has anyone had this happen? I was able to tighten the screw up and put it back in, but I am a little gun shy of using the holster.

I have one of their holsters (about a year ago) that I use for OCing (in other states, not here in TX) but I forget the model #...so I went to Comp-Tac to look it up and don't see it anymore! It was an "adjustable cant" OWB holster for a 1911 -- must have been discontinued as I don't see my exact holster being offered currently.

Anyway, in answer to your question, NO, I have not had any issue of the tension-adjusting screws falling out or getting loose with my Comp-Tac kydex holster. I DO, however, need to tighten them down fairly snug to get the gun-drawing friction to my liking, but that's what the screws are for. This compresses the rubber bushings more but again, the screws do not come loose. Maybe the screw's rubber bushing on that side of your holster is missing?

The Comp-Tac Infidel I have has two tension screws, so I've never had a problem. My Galco loosens up after a while though and I have to tighten it up again.

Does not the Gladiator have 5 different tension screws on the body of the holster? Seem unlikely that more than one would come loose during use... Once you get the holster setup correctly, e.g. tensioned properly, you should not have an issue going forward. If you are concerned, perhaps use a low-level loc-tite product to help ensure screws stay set the way you want. I have had dozens of kydex holsters over the years and all need to be some what adjusted once one gets them, since everyone has a different preference on the level of presentation drag on the pistol...
