Junction City Open Carry Ban Officially Challenged

The Libertarian Party of KS has officially challenged Junction City’s open carry ban.

If you live, work, or have dealings with Junction City please contact the Mayor and Council urging them to review their weapons ordinance and make changes that comply with state law and constitutional mandates.

Remind them that there have been two KS Attorney General Opinions dealing with open carry and that Wichita and Overland Park recently changed their ordinances to comply with those opinions and state law.

Please remember to be completely professional and respectful in your communications with our elected officials. Always list your name and address:

    Mayor Pat Landes pat.landes@jcks.com 785-223-6091

Vice Mayor Jim Sands jim.sands@jcks.com 785-375-4715

    Representatives:

    Cecil Aska cecil.aska@jcks.com 785-238-2122

    Scott Johnson scott.johnson@jcks.com 785-375-3636

    Jack Taylor jack.taylor@jcks.com 785-209-8723

    Junction City Open Carry Ban

On January 15th – 7pm the Libertarian Party will be speaking to the Junction City council about their open carry ban. Those who would like to attend are welcome. Citizens speak at the beginning of the meeting.

We’re not asking anyone else to speak. We will have three from our group speaking against the ban

If you would like to help us fight open carry bans in KS we would be grateful for any donation. Please click on the link below. Thank you !

They were more worried about property tax than any other thing also their lawyer did most the talking. I didn't know she was the commission or mayor.
