Junction City Open Carry Ban Officially Challenged

The Libertarian Party of KS has officially challenged Junction City’s open carry ban.

If you live, work, or have dealings with Junction City please contact the Mayor and Council urging them to review their weapons ordinance and make changes that comply with state law and constitutional mandates.

Remind them that there have been two KS Attorney General Opinions dealing with open carry and that Wichita and Overland Park recently changed their ordinances to comply with those opinions and state law.

Junction City Open Carry Ban

On January 15th – 7pm the Libertarian Party will be speaking to the Junction City council about their open carry ban. Those who would like to attend are welcome. Citizens speak at the beginning of the meeting.

We’re not asking anyone else to speak. We will have three from our group speaking against the ban

where is this being held at, I plan on attending

January 15th begins at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 700 North Jefferson in Junction City. The Commission Chamber is on the second floor of City Hall.

They were more worried about property tax than any other thing also their lawyer did most the talking. I didn't know she was the commission or mayor.

What is junction citys stance now?
