Sunday December 23, 2012 (10 spots left)

Class times are from 9am to 5pm.

Defensive Handgun I is a structured, live fire class designed to teach you shooting techniques needed to properly deploy your defensive handgun, while at the same time reinforcing safe gun handling skills. This course will be crucial for someone who carries a handgun on a regular basis and wants to learn & reinforce new skills beyond the basic fundamentals.

Students should have a firm grasp on the fundamentals of shooting (stance, grip, sight alignment, etc) before registering for this class. This class will build upon those skills.

Some of the topics covered:

Holster draw and presentation
Shooting at various distances - from retention to 25 yards.
Shooting from standing, kneeling, and right/left lateral recumbent.
Target recognition
Linear / lateral movement.
Engaging multiple targets.
...and more!

He presumed that there wasn't anyone old enough other than Peter and I to remember those

Revolvers aren't defensive handguns?!?

Roscoe

You can throw me into that boat as well. I'm sitting here in my office with my Detective Special on my hip....OC'ing, of course!
You can throw me in too! Interesting enough I went to an IDPA Qualifier this past Sunday and one young gentleman was using a revolver and made Master rating.
