"DENVER (AP) - Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper says "the time is right" for state lawmakers to consider gun control measures, offering his firmest stance in the aftermath of several high-profile shootings, including a movie theater rampage in suburban Denver, that have shocked the nation."

Do you think things are going to change, for the worse -- at least in Denver County if not the whole state?
Are there enough pro-gun people in CO to be an obstacle to the Governor's efforts -- considering that CO went for Obama so apparently the majority of Coloradans (like the Governor) are Democrat?
It's interesting though, that in some "blue" states -- like NM for example, which has been mostly Democrat for years -- where one would think a "mostly Democrat state" would have the most oppressive gun carry laws (like very much blue state Hawaii), there STILL is a fairly good pro-gun environment in those states...meaning OC and CC allowed (HI is one exception). So I wonder if Hickenlooper, as cluless as he is re: guns & crime, will get anywhere (and I wonder if NEXT time a Republican Governor could be elected in blue state CO).
Would hate to see presently OC/CC-friendly CO change to a more restrictive state -- as if THAT will stop any more criminal/psycho shooting incidents from happening. As we know, it won't.
