Is it just me or is this another waste of paper, time, money and effort? I hope the capital police don't disarm me of a paperclip at there whim. But it's ok to have your handgun?! It just seems like the first step into taking those away too.

This bill is poorly worded. It appears to exempt certain persons from possessing prohibited weapons as opposed to exempting the possession of a particular weapon, i.e. if I can legally possess my handgun in such a place, then I can also possess any of the enumerated weapons.

A version of this bill gets introduced every year and dies in committee every year.
