Apparently, it is not considered "newsworthy" outside of Kalifornia (or any local area) when someone uses a firearm in defense of themselves and/or others. The lawful and righteous use of firearms for self-defense - or the defense of others - against a potentially deadly threat, is never reported outside of the immediate locale. To do so would weaken the momentum of the left-wing's never-ending condemnation of those "evil" firearms, and those unfeeling anti-social perverts who own them. If the left were to have their way, I'm certain that simply the ownership of firearms would be classified as a "hate crime" - with capital punishment as the only acceptable judicial solution. Pax...

Pax...I knew when I posted, This man was in trouble because he was from California. I still think he is a hero. If he was from Indiana nothing would happen to him. I wanted to get it on the air waves to let everyone know guns can be used in a good way.
Here in Indiana we have a good connection with facebook, From north to south. So this has been all over facebook. When good things like this happen we try to get the news out. We sure can't depend on CNN or most of the media.
Here in Indiana we don't have a difference between OC and CC. So you never know who is carring. I carry 50% open and 50% CC
I am happy to say over the last 3 or 4 years I had one officer ask if I had a permit. I said yes sir. He replied. Have a good day.
But," Most police would prefer you to CC. They get fewer calls. I will say when I go to the big city. Indianapolis I allways CC

From what I found out about this, the man shot all 3 intruders. Killing one, injuring two, and was shot himself. I do not know how this would not be a clear cut case of self defense. If armed men broke into my home (in Maine) or where I go to school (in NY) they would be met with deadly force.
CA has castle doctrine, so I highly doubt anything will happen to the man.
