Sheriff's Dept. Offers Free Firearms Training For Children

Not OC or handgun related but....

    FUQ:
Children between the ages of 8 and 12 are welcome to attend the course with BB guns, pellet guns, .22 rifles, and small caliber shotguns.

    For those fussbudgety FUQ fanatics.

It is AFAIK original to me. Compromise is failure on the installment plan, particularly when dealing with so intractable an opponent as ignorance. - Nightmare

For families that don't own a gun, or don't have one in a small enough caliber, programs like this are great. Anyone who has a small enough caliber should have already taught their child firearms safety by age 8, IMO.

Nice find. I wonder if our local Sheriff would be interested.

We had our first open gun safety training at our OC picnic here last summer, and plan on continuing it. Of course no one shoots guns there.
I am not anti Cop I am just pro Citizen.

    U.S. v. Minker, 350 US 179, at page 187
"Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many citizens, because
of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their
    rights, due to ignorance." (Paraphrased)
