AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE USE OF PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS, VIOLENT MEDIA AND MASS VIOLENCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a task force to work with the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering to study: (1) The potential relationship between the use of psychotropic drugs and incidents of mass shootings or attempted mass shootings; and (2) any correlation between the use of violent media, including violent video games, and mass shootings.

Statement of Purpose:

To study the relationship between the use of psychotropic drugs and incidents of mass shootings and the impact of violent media on episodes of mass violence.

well david, look at it from Obama's and Feinstein's and Bloomberg's and Cuomo's point of view:
~13 million AR style rifles in the country. 3 people commit "mass" shootings with them. that's 0.00000023%. OMG! *FREAKOUT!** "BAN ALL THE THINGS!!"

under that logic, if any more than 0.00000024% of these drug users and/or gamers commit any type of mass shooting, then the drugs and/or video games are to blame.
