Interesting that they are shutting them down up north and continuing with business as ususual down south. There is documentation that both have a practice of setting up and operating the roadblocks improperly, thus depriving motorists of their 4A rights. There is documentation that both have a practice of prolonging the detention of motorists who decline searches and/or decline questioning, thus depriving them of their 4A rights. There is documentation that both have a practice of maliciously prosecuting motorists for DUI, in violation of their 4A and 14A rights. There is documentation that both have maliciously prosecuted DUI arrestees for obstructing when those DUI arrestees were shown to have no alcohol in their systems.

Why did NorNev throw in the towel and why is SoNev continuing with this practice which will surely cost them in the long run?

After a little thought... I was wondering if it is because the southern end does not know that they are not even standing in the checkpoint area. I let the northern people know that. we should keep an eye on legislature to see if they will try to fix the boo boo they passed last session.

Trying to find a place that uses that mesh fabric for signs.
And the same vests the roadblockers have.
If you want to make your own, get the mesh fabric from a fabric store (Hancock, JoAnn...)
The silver reflective fabric isn't all that hard to find, if you want to order a roll, or I have a roll of (IIRC) 2" wide I could sell from.
Use 2" on the vests, cut it in half to have 1" wide letters on your signs.

How about a sign that reads "CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS FREE ZONE AHEAD", or "KISS YOUR RIGHTS GOODBYE ZONE AHEAD".

Or this:

Tyranny ^

Liberty >

OC while holding these signs of course.

Just came across this article too. I live in the Cent. Hills area so this infringement zone, so far, seems to be the closest one to my place. I gotta work early in the morning so I will be at this one for a bit.

For all who will join me, I will be at the above checkpoint on Flamingo/Decatur area about start of the 3rd quarter. I am leaving my house at halftime to buy materiel. I'm will also bring my small radio out there to listen to the 2nd half

I went out to Decatur/Flamingo. I drove in all four directions for a few blocks, and did not run into a checkpoint. It was at 6:00pm.

Looks like the checkpoint is on Boulder HWY. I'll probably be heading out after I shower, and I have a couple of extra signs (non reflective :*()

Las Vegas Metro police announced a sobriety checkpoint for the area of Boulder Highway and Mayorga Street, near Boulder Station Casino, from 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Feb. 3.

It didn't happen unless you post some pics or a video!

I don't gain anything by lying. I was the only one out there on Boulder Hwy, unless someone else was farther down the road. I was there from about 7 to 9:30. A plain clothes officer approached me on the sidewalk, he said, "Do you think it's working? A lot of people are going to jail tonight." I just shrugged, he said nothing else and walked away as he said something into his radio. A lot of pedestrians gave me kudos. One lady asked why I was doing this, and I gave her the spiel about the 2nd and 4th Amendments. She honestly asked, "what are the 2nd and 4th Amendments?" The highlight of the night was when a guy came out there and gave me a $10 tip for my efforts. I didn't have to split that with anybody

Ended up falling asleep after and couldn't make it :( working graveyard shift does that to you. I even had 3 signs made and everything.

"Do you think it's working? A lot of people are going to jail tonight."

This is the problem right here. They think they should send all lawbreakers (which means ALL of us) to jail at any costs. He has NO CLUE why you were out there, and no clue (or care) what rights are and why they matter.

No mention of you and your sign. :(

Oh well, probably because I was a "lone nut" and they wouldn't want to give publicity to folks who would then try it out themselves. One pedestrian even asked me, "isn't that illegal what you're doing? You aren't a cop carrying that gun out like that?"
