AN ACT CONCERNING THE FEASIBILITY OF OUTFITTING FIREARMS
WITH BIOMETRIC READING DEVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That the general statutes be amended to require the Connecticut
2 Academy of Science and Engineering to study the feasibility of
3 outfitting firearms sold in Connecticut with biometric reading devices
4 that permit only the proper owner of such firearms to use them.
Statement of Purpose:
To determine whether the use of biometric reading devices on firearms
is a feasible method of controlling gun violence.
