    SB 604 Outlaw gun in house where mentally ill/dangerous person lives

    General Assembly Proposed Bill No. 604
    January Session, 2013 LCO No. 1328

    Introduced by:
    SEN. FRANTZ, 36th Dist.
    AN ACT CONCERNING THE SECURE SAFEKEEPING OF FIREARMS.
    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
    Assembly convened:
    1 That section 29-37i of the general statutes be amended to provide
    2 that no person shall store or keep any firearm on any premises under
    3 his or her control if such person knows or should know that another
    4 person residing in the home presents a danger to self or others unless
    5 the person keeps the firearm in a securely locked box or other
    6 container.
    Statement of Purpose:
    To require a firearm's owner to safely secure the firearm in a locked
    box or container if the owner knows or should that another person
    residing in the home presents a danger to self or others.

    your title is quite misleading on this one.

    but in regards to the actual bill, it's pretty similar to the current law in ragards to access to a firearm by a minor.
    but again, enforcing this law would be absolutely impossible, so it really is just more nonsense

    I try to just give a very quick abstract .. sorry for any inaccuracies .. wow, there were alot issued out today .... (likely friday is zzzz zzzz day for their staff)..
