AN ACT CONCERNING THE SECURE SAFEKEEPING OF FIREARMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That section 29-37i of the general statutes be amended to provide
2 that no person shall store or keep any firearm on any premises under
3 his or her control if such person knows or should know that another
4 person residing in the home presents a danger to self or others unless
5 the person keeps the firearm in a securely locked box or other
6 container.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a firearm's owner to safely secure the firearm in a locked
box or container if the owner knows or should that another person
residing in the home presents a danger to self or others.
