I'm sure they would try to say that the fact we are buying guns near a gun buy back area designed to get weapons off the street qualifies as RAS.
But that's exactly what you're trying to do, too.
You want them off the street & into your safe.

$340 got me...

Ithaca .22lr lever action single shot in great shape.
2 Mossberg .22lr, one a big boy bolt action, the other a smaller training rifle, both need a little work but not too bad.
.32 S&W long Rossi revolver, good shape but the ejector rod is missing
Davis .380 semi-auto in new condition with box and paperwork

And...

A 1934 built 1903 Springfield in BEAUTIFUL condition!

I'm not sure if it works. I know little about the SKS. The gas tube thingy under the barrel is very loose. Normal? I want to keep it, but I don't want to throw a ton of $ into it.

Awesome kit! Makes me want to keep the SKS now... what is the pricing on that?

$229... there is 3-4 weeks backlog....

Mine should be shipping I think this week...

Bought a nice center grip at the last WAC show for $10.
Its totally ergo and no just a round cylinder.

That is VERY reasonable. I am very interested.

Can anyone shed some light on the gastube/thingy? The tube under the barrel is very loose. Normal / okay?

Gas tube is over the barrel, under it is the cleaning rod.
You lift the bayonet I think 1/2 and can slid the cleaning rod out.
In the rifle butt in the cleaning kit. Its so-so.....

The SKS is nice and shoots 7.62x39 russian ammo.
You can get ammo on sale for like $5 for a box of 20. When you can find it.

I did not want a AK, but the more I read about the SKS the more I liked it.

Don't sell it.

SKS is a good rifle.

With the bullpup kit on it the length will be like 31"

Put the kit on and play with it then if you don't like it you can see it for alot more.

So the muzzle break? If so just unscrew it.

No muzzle break. Its part of the front sight. Here's a pic to describe what I'm talking about. IMG_1921.jpg

Hmmmmmm..... that is odd cause that is a cleaning rod for sure.
Nothing important at all.
Dremel time!!! Might have to hack it out.
Not sure how/why its jammed in there.
Since its a used rifle it could be a billion reasons why its like that.

Don't forget me. I'm still willing to take that sport king 22lr off your hands.

I'm think I'm keeping it haha. We hit the range for a few minutes to play with my new MK III Hunter and the Sport King after I left, and I kind of like it!
