AN ACT LIMITING THE POSSESSION OF ASSAULT WEAPONS AND
HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That the general statutes be amended to limit ownership of
2 automatic and semiautomatic assault weapons and high capacity
3 magazines to sworn members of the Division of State Police or an
4 organized local police department, active members of the armed forces
5 and members of a shooting club that agrees to monitor its members'
6 use of assault weapons and magazines.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the public safety by limiting the possession of high capacity
assault weapons and ammunition to police, members of the armed
forces, and residents who belong to a shooting club that agrees to
monitor its members' use of assault weapons and magazines.

totally absurd. this will have absolutely zero impact on public safety, and will leave citizens defenseless in various scenarios.
just another way to word a gun ban and gun confiscation, but to also add a way for government to "monitor" law abiding citizens
