We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. At least I hope not, in the way that that means that there are people who are surprised by this. She is controlled by the same group that controlled her husband (though he is quite high in the leadership of that group, himself) and that's why she is mayor, after all.

The question is whether she lost ENOUGH votes.

The problem is she most likely gained as many votes, as much of Vegas and N. Las Vegas would support her.
Along with this, I see Gestapo Gillespie is meeting with the Fuhrer today on one of his many visits each year to Las Vegas, but said he will not be discussing the meeting with the press. Hmmmm, I thought they were both public servants. I thought we had a right to know. Something about open meetings or some crazy idea like that.

BHO will probably tell us about it. He won't be able to help bragging about a big-time sheriff from a free state like Nevada being in his corner on gun control. Never mind that Clark County is as blue as it gets in a red state.

Everything about politics in the Sharp End is curious.
You have the unions busing casino workers to vote for Harry Reid, and a week after his re-election he turns around and pushed for online gambling -- which will put tens of thousands of his voters out of work, because people who vote online don't need dealers, housekeepers, taxi drivers, restaurant staff, etc.
Then you have those same people voting for a guy who repeatedly said not to go to LV, which resulted in a slowdown of the economy in the Sharp End.
If the Reno-Tahoe Visitors Authority had any backbone, they would have run ads with Obama's quote, followed by ". . .but he didn't say anything about not coming to RENO . . !"
