Smile Texas: NRA – Backed Bills Under Consideration in the Lone Star State

I looked before I posted this to ensure it wasn't a duplicate. I didn't find anything other than HB700, so I will post it now. Sorry if it's duped somewhere else.

You can see how SB 299 will be used to kill OC. Don't get your hopes up.
“If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind? ” -Bastiat

I don't "need" to openly carry a handgun or own an "assault weapon" any more than Rosa Parks needed a seat on the bus.

I think that is what hurt OC the last time it was submitted, too many gun law bills on the books. Cross your fingers.

You sure? It seems more to support OC. It changes the standard of violation from "fails to conceal" to displaying it in public in a manner calculated to alarm. It's the same standard that applies to rifles which does not prohibit OC of them.

Pretty sure it was the deadlock caused by the budget debate that killed OC
