SB401 and SB548, the two nullification bills, passed the Senate Rules Committee today. The next step is the Senate Public Safety Committee. However, Senator Barrington, the chairman of that committee, is not planning to hear any 2nd Amendment bills until the Lt. Governor's task force has completed its report - who knows when that will happen. In the meantime, important 2nd Amendment legislation is held hostage. I guess it's business as usual in the Senate. Please call Senator Barrington and Senator Bingman (the President Pro Tem) and ask them to make sure these two important bills are heard. Also, call the Lt. Governor (he is also the President of the Senate) and ask him to urge the Senate to hear these bills.

Senator Barrington - 405-521-5563 - barrington@oksenate.gov
Senator Bingman - 405-521-5528 - bingman@oksenate.gov
Lt. Governor Lamb - 405-521-2161

Timing is important. The author of these bills has asked that we wait a bit. First of all, he'd like emails and faxes sent over the weekend. Then on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, make your phone calls.
