This is another of the events going on around the Nation: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Govern...rallies-set-to-challenge-Obama-agenda-on-2-23

“The first is one which I’ve been getting ruthlessly abused for and that is because the AR-15 caliber is .223,” Stockton said in a phone interview. “It’s also the day that we raised the flag in Iwo Jima and it’s also a Saturday, so people who work regular hours can also attend.”....

Check for the event for your state.

snip: caliber is .223,” Stockton said

AR-15's are chambered for the 5.56 cartridge, not the .223 (at least the ones I own). However, you can shoot the .223 in an AR-15.

Both statements are correct. The bore diameter, hence "caliber", is .223. (.224" groove-to-groove if you want to be precise) Whether the chamber is 5.56 or the commercial .223 Remington the caliber is still the same, even though the chamber is different. Also, not all AR's are chambered in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington. There are a vast number of chamberings available on the AR platform.

But all of this is off topic, and IMHO (limited though it may be) irrelevant. The focus would be the event itself...

Well we can't all be there on the 56th of May, deal with it.

No, but we can be there on both the 5 and 6 of may. We could even throw in Sept 17, 18, 19, 21 and 23 for the handgunners out there. If you write your dates month first we can also have June 30 and August 30. Lots of opportunities for rallies with significant dates like this.
