The folks on the Left DO NOT get it or believe it anyway, otherwise they would know how to act! There are always opposing forces according to scientific facts,or Biblical Facts which are Spiritual.Thats why progressives do not believe in Human Nature or Natures God.They believe .gov can improve the way humans act by legislation, just like Stalin,Mao etc.! You know,re-education camps to show us to follow whomever is on top! Obama says the constitution is flawed,so you know he doesn't get it or believe it!Thats where we're at now! CARRY ON!

Yes, I know it's an on-line class, but- does Hillsdale allow lawful carry on their campus, or are they one of the ones who 'don't get it'?

    My reasons to OC
    1. to raise awareness of the legality of open carry in Michigan
    2. To raise awareness that good people carry guns
    3. A deterrent to people so that I won't be targeted
    4. Because it's more comfortable than CC in most situations
    5. Because I can and want to
    6. Because it's perfectly legal
    7. Self defense

Amusing- the people who 'don't get it', are going to teach it.

Well, they say 'Those who can, do; those who can't do, teach; those who can't teach, administrate....'

Illegal or unauthorized possession does raise questions,as far as students, but learning The Meaning of Our Constitution, and the History to date, is THE IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DYING FOR and whats going on TODAY!
P.S. I will bring this up to them and get more info so We can request changes if needed!

My belief that Our Rights ARE ABSOLUTE is backed by The Founders words of "Inalienable Right to Life,Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness",in The Preamble of The Declaration of Independence(which the progressives/liberals reject in word and deed)which Our Bill of Rights is based on! The Left (progressives/liberals/socialists etc.) believes Rights come from government, therefore "Infringement" by regulation, laws, statutes(gov permits/permission) have always been a "progressive/liberal" agenda since pres Wilson said Our Founders are wrong (No Natural Rights) and Our government should evolve (as in Darwinian evolution),which he and FDR agreed in their writtings and speeches! This same "progressivism" is where communism, socialism and the Nazi's(national socialists) came from. Our Founders said Our Rights come from Our Creator,at birth, which is "ABSOLUTE",not government provided! I've known this in My Very Being, all My Life (Right and wrong),but haven't seen it validated in Word until I read what Our Founders wrote and said about The Meaning of Our Founding Documents! CARRY ON!

B nice to move this thread to a national forum.

I am current with all Hillsdale College's on-line courses, American Heritage Indroduction by Larry Arnn was posted yesterday.

At about Constitution 101 lecture 4, the curse of progressivism and libertarianism is addressed, much to the dismay of republican progressives.

I have taken several of their Constitution classes and enjoyed them all. I was always armed and usually drank beer during my classes. Yep, took 'em online.
"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the people's liberty teeth (and) keystone... the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable... more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference .When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour." -- George Washington
