Government agencies are against Back ground checks

The EEOC says background checks are discriminatory against minorities and has filed lawsuits to prove this.

Who is the EEOC? It is the Equal Employment Opportunity. Here is there stance on background checks

Since at least 2001, the EEOC said, Freeman has rejected job applicants based on their credit history and if they have had one or more of various types of criminal charges or convictions. This practice has an unlawful discriminatory impact because of race, national origin, and sex, and is neither job-related nor justified by business necessity, the EEOC charged in its lawsuit.

Came across this blog talking about this too

EEOC lawsuits included even cases where hiring a felon would mean potentially giving him a gun. So firearms do not provide a special exception.

Yes I know, but it shows the hypocrisy.

The principles don't change just because the subject changes.
