    That is a old incident, and I believe the deputy has been fired since the video went viral. NO NC is not like that.

    There is another thread on the video, maybe in the Fl sub forum.

    OK from what I gathered from motherearth(lol) he was put on administrative leave. It appears no disciplinary action was taken after the leave, or at least I cannot find any news reports.

    If FL law requires disclosure of permit and firearm, than he has no case. FL doesn't allow open carry, imprinting or accidental exposure. The officer was a dick, but he was within his right in the eyes of the law.

    I could be wrong but I thought Florida recently passed a law the allows printing and accidental exposure.

    They did, but this incident was before such a law was put into effect.

    Actually the handgun was never exposed, just the base of the holster, that would not be open carry. It could have been just as well a phone case. I am not sure but I do not believe FL laws requires disclosure.

    According to Wiki there is no duty to inform in Florida.
