Magpul says they're dead serious about leaving if the magazine bill passes.
All the bills (I believe) have passed out of Senate committee and will be voted on by the full Senate. Gov. Hickenlooper is holding his cards close, but I don't have any faith that he'll veto any of them.
We're furious here.

Actually, Democrat Hickenlooper gleefully stated on local news that he agreed with and plans to sign the most egregious of the bills when they hit his desk. The only one he is still pondering is the liability for exercising your rights bill. But he'll probably sign anything that Obama tells him too. He also quite gleefully stated in the same interview that none of these people control bills will affect his future re-election and that he plans to win again. He claims that nearly 100 people contacted him to support anti-liberty bills, so he's ok with it. (Of course he didn't mention the many thousands who are showing up to hearings and the 700 plus who vocally opposed them on his FB page).
So no worries. The democrats aren't worried about your silly opposition. You're too stupid to know what you really want. So they'll be happy to inform you of what you really want. And plan to be re-elected without problems.

I suspect that he will receive huge financial support from the machine, coupled with Bloomberg's SuperPac; i.e, the Bloomberg that declared that politicians backed by the National Rifle Association all over the country should consider themselves on notice.

I know that I will not spend another penny in Colorado (with the exception purchasing from any pro-2A companies that stay behind) if the draconian measures are passed by the full Senate and signed by the Governor. Skiing? I will just go to Jackson Hole or one of Utah's resorts.

Colorado is going to lose significantly on the economic front due to this idiocy on steroids.
Fortunately Coloradoans have initiative, referendum, and the 2014 election with which to reverse this travesty.
If this abcess is not lanced in 2014 , and Colorado joins the ranks of California it will become a frontrange welfare state, and I'm G.B.T.T. (gone back to Texas).

The latest is that Colorado has inadvertantly banned all modern shotguns !!!

DENVER (CBS4) – A popular hunting shotgun could be banned under one of the bills moving through the state Capitol.
A pump or semi-automatic shotgun is the gun most hunters in Colorado use. It’s a gun state Sen. Greg Brophy, R-Wray, says could be banned under a bill that’s already passed the House and Gov. John Hickenlooper says he’ll sign.
“They’re coming after the standard shotgun,” Brophy told CBS4 Political Specialist Shaun Boyd.
Brophy says if Democrats succeed in passing a bill limiting large capacity magazines in Colorado, they’ll outlaw the most popular selling firearm for hunting.
“Hundreds of thousands of pheasant hunters are probably going to be carrying around a gun they won’t be able to replace after July 1 this year,” he said.
Brophy points to a section of the bill that defines a high-capacity magazine as one capable of accepting or — that can be readily converted — to accept more than 15 rounds or eight shotgun shells.
“This is where shotgun shells go inside this tube here,” Brophy showed Boyd, “You can screw this part off the top and screw on an extender to this tube to allow it to hold more than eight rounds. It is readily convertible, which by definition in the bill, makes the whole thing a high-capacity magazine.”
Under the 1994 federal ban manufacturers redesigned the gun so the barrel couldn’t be extended. Brophy says it’s unlikely they’d do the same just for Colorado.
“I don’t know if anybody is going to make guns specifically for the five million people living in Colorado,” he said. “We just might not be able to legally purchase a pump shotgun or a semi-automatic shotgun.”
Or sell, transfer or even lend one.
“The law is specific as of July 1. You can keep it, but only if you maintain continuous possession of it,” Brophy said. “If it breaks, you can’t give to a gunsmith even to fix it. You can’t hand it to your son to use. It’s all now outlawed because of this 1224, the bill that Gov. Hickenlooper says he’s going to sign … this is most extreme thing anybody’s ever done related to firearms.”
Boyd asked Senate Democrats about Brophy’s concerns. They sent her a statement saying an amendment dealing with thats issue is currently being drafted and will be presented in a committee hearing Monday. What that amendment looks like and whether it passes remains to be seen.

We also have 2 Democratic Senators that have said they will not vote for the following bills:
Mag capacity.
Campus carry.
Liability bill.
We need ONE more Democratic Senator to vote no on these 3, and they're dead.

Starting in June, I will be traveling between Utah and Kansas. With these bills passing, my route will be through Wyoming and Nebraska rather than Colorado. Yes, it will make the trip longer, but I'd rather drive an extra couple hours than spend one dime in a state that has no regard for individual rights.

Something that is lost in this fiasco of a bill and is sorely being unreported. The mag ban doesn't limit you to 15 rounds. It outlaws magazines capable of holding more than than 15 rounds AND are readily converted to hold more than 15 rounds. So. I have a G19. Standard capacity is 15 rounds. However, I can buy a pearce +1 or +2 extension that converts it to 16 or 17. As these are "readily converted" my 15 round mags are also banned. Don't believe me? Read the bill. So if your mags can be converted to larger than 15 rounds, they are banned as well. Chew on that one for a bit.

Keep in mind ownership prior to the effective date of the democrap bill is grandfathered. Buy whatever you want before--or after, as there is no way to enforce this BS bill. Terry Maketa has already said his department will assume legal ownership as the burden of proof is solely on the state to prove otherwise. Unless one of chickenlooper's stormtroopers tapes you buying "prohibited" mags, that is impossible to prove. No DA in his right mind would spend the money trying to prove otherwise.

EXCELLENT POST ! Thank you for pointing that glitch out. If some rouge piece of pig s#@t did arrest you for having a readily convertable magazine, they might offer a plea bargin knowing just how putrid this law is, but they would still keep your firearm, for sure.
