To my mind, this is the BEST gun show in the world of any kind:

http://www.baltimoreshow.com/

Be there on Saturday March 16th and Sunday March 17th. Play "where's The Donkey:" I will be there -- both in front of and behind the tables -- in a red plaid flannel shirt partially obscuring a tee-shirt with some democratic slogan on it.

Find me, and I will buy you a beverage of your choice.

Do you still need a passport

or have they become part of the United States again?

Last I heard, the dictator didn't allow open or concealed carry in Maryland. (Unless you knew who to bribe)

No telling what other deranged "laws" they have.

Would love to go and meet you, but I don't think they will let me back in.

Feel free to come to Richmond for a Saturday breakfast and I will buy. ;>)

Word on the street is that MD state police "border search" cars with VA tags on the interstates in hopes of catching a CHPer who forgot to lock up his gun. Its kinda like the Coast Guard operating beyond the continental shelf, stopping and boarding vessels.

good thing I used 301 when I went there last July, "forgot" isn't strictly the correct term, and that's all I'll say.

Seems like it might be a cool show, too bad it's in my "no-fly" zone.

It's North of the Ni !
Nothing good happens North of the Ni:uhoh:

The Battle of Fredericksburg happened north of the Ni.

And Lynyrd Skynyrd sometimes plays Nissan.

I thought you might have liked that one of those. :)

In any event, I don't think that they have a problem with you wearing a sidearm into the show . . .

So long as it was made before 1898. And really, there were quite a few good ones.

No really. We should all be blessed enough to own a LeMatt.

And if I am wrong about OCing an antique into the show, my apologies. I will buy you a beverage after you are released from jail.

Perhaps I could even represent you at your trial?

Shows he considers the Union invasion of VA as a good thing.

And, then in typical carpetbagger fashion he offers to help resolve the problem he caused.

I did think that Lee's rout of Burnside might be kind of popular with some. But what do I know? Maybe Lincoln is more popular in Virginia these days than I thought -- with the movie and all.

Did you like the way he whipped those vampires?

It was not nearly as comedically entertaining as a certain liberal shill who brought a miniature antique gun show to a VCDL meeting some years ago, while wearing a very tiny BUG as his primary carry gun, all to show us (Webb?) was on our side....(excuse me I fell out of my chair laffing again)...as a gun owner.

I am glad the shill brought the BUG and the antiques. No other modern weapons huh? I think Webb carried a 1911 and could have brought that if he came personally. As I recall, he filled out the NRA's survey in a way that would have merited an "A" rating -- had Chris Cox not lost the survey. I guess I may have mentioned at one point on OCDO way back then that Mr. Cox was also the head of Senator Allen's Sportsmen's Outreach. Allen, I believe, sent a paid operative as his spokesman to a different VCDL meeting who wasn't carrying any guns, didn't bring any with him, and advocated much the same things that Webb did on 2A related issues -- except for conservation. Allen was against that. BORING!

So I suppose Webb's guy could have just said that and then left, and it would have also been pretty boring meeting. Why not liven it up with some classics? Haven't you noticed that some of the VCDL guys favor Colt percussion Armys as their primary carry? You would not want to be on the business end of one of those -- (even though I would prefer to be staring down that barrel of a Colt Army than one on a a Confederate LeMat). A BUG does seem kind of wimpy in comparison to what most people bring to VCDL meetings. But one does not feel too great a threat of being mugged at the Mason District government building with 50 or well armed guys on the premises-- not including the police. To demonstrate a deeper, more cosmic connection, I suppose the shill could have strapped a Patterson carbine to his back, or a Desert Eagle to his side. But then, in the circumstances, wouldn't that have been overkill?

I trust that by now you have recovered from any injuries you may have experienced from falling out of your chair. Is it too late to sue the guy? Sounds like it could have been pretty dangerous:I understand that some people have troubles with accidental discharges that way.

The shill for the liberal shill thinks VCDL meetings are boring without liberal shills.

And I thought there were rules about posting links to pornography . . . .

Nay, nay, nay - gunporn (if SFW) is more than acceptable, especially fine examples with real bone charcoal case color or intact rust bluing is much appreciated. I could spend an evening just holding one of those :)

It is the human depictions that ruin the acceptability.

BTW - yes peter nap's is the real thing.

Just for reference how many gun shows have you been to inside/outside the U.S. and which ones???
The Big Reno show, the Wanenmacher Arms Show in Oklahoma (FOR NON FFL HOLDERS) and the S.H.O.T. show rank as the best in my book.
Shows outside the U.S. just aren't quite as fun (interesting) as those inside.

While it might be a decent show it would require me to give money to the State of Maryland directly/indirectly, that's not going to happen if it can be avoided.
