Radley (famously skeptical of LEO integrity) and I (a Dallas resident of 17+ years with, perhaps, even more skepticism of LEOs than Radley) are in agreement that Craig Watkins is doing excellent things in Dallas. Here's Radley's "Best Prosecutor of 2007" post. Watkins has become embroiled in what I suspect is a frivolous, retaliatory accusation by a guy with a widely-held reputation of being a complete sleazebag. I suspect Watkins has also done things in his career that I don't approve of. Regardless, the amount of good he has perpetrated and supported in Dallas since becoming District Attorney earns him high regard from me. I wonder if his implicit indictments of Dallas prosecutors, who are disproportionately associated with real estate moguls in Dallas, is part of this nonsense he's currently facing.

"A San Diego police officer who was killed in the line of duty is being remembered for his good deeds."

http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=news/state&id=8314141

"Henwood buys the boy cookies along with a meal for himself, all the while talking to the boy."

http://m.utsandiego.com/news/2011/aug/16/surveillance-video-shows-officers-final-moments/

Killed after talking to a kid about what he wanted to be when he grew up and encouraged the kid to work hard. Bought cookies and parted ways.

That is indeed the same LEO that Freedom1Man's video shows in post #26 - That officer was a real genuine, stand up guy.
