    man holds hostages with...

    a fire extinguisher.
    No, really.
    At a WalMart.
    http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/story/21...orkers-hostage

What is this country coming to when a room full of people choose to sit on the ground & be held hostage by a guy with a fire extinguisher instead of jumping him, knocking him down, & sitting on him?!?!

ETA: of course, there is the WM policy saying that employees can't fight back if attacked...

They wouldn't have even needed to fight back. A simple point and laugh then continue with their business would have sufficed.

Policy or not, i'm not sure who is dumber. The guy or the employees? Can't understand why the guy would leave and then return and throw his keys at someone though.

    My reasons to OC
    1. to raise awareness of the legality of open carry in Michigan
    2. To raise awareness that good people carry guns
    3. A deterrent to people so that I won't be targeted
    4. Because it's more comfortable than CC in most situations
    5. Because I can and want to
    6. Because it's perfectly legal
    7. Self defense

Monty Python goes to Phoenix, though it would have been funnier with a banana.

And now for something completely different.....

He didn't search out the OC'ers and take them out first, according to some CC mythers?
I am not anti Cop I am just pro Citizen.

of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their
    rights, due to ignorance." (Paraphrased)

Ya know, some fire extinguishers are more deadly than other fire extinguishers. Just as "assault rifles" are more deadly than......well, non-assault rifles.

    Short non-scientific poll:

    a) Water
    b) Dry Chemical
    c) CO2

Which of the above would be the most deadly?

All extinguishers are fully automatic. As long as the trigger is depressed and the extinguisher has ammunition, it will continue fire.

I think some extinguishers are exempted (grandfathered) from the NFA (National Fire Extinguisher Act).
