Sandy Hook shooter kept a spreadsheet of other murders

Wow. Apparently Lanza kept a scoreboard of murders and attempted murders.

And people scoff at the notion that these anti-social nimrods are trying to rack up bigger scores than the last guy...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/18/adam-lanza-spreadsheet_n_2901377.html

The New York Daily News reports investigators discovered, "a chilling spreadsheet 7 feet long and 4 feet wide that required a special printer, a document that contained Lanza’s obsessive, extensive research — in nine-point font — about mass murders of the past, and even attempted murders."

An unnamed law enforcement source who spoke with the Daily News said the giant spreadsheet was actually a "score sheet" and that Lanza, an avid video game player, hoped his attack would put his name at the top of the list of killers.

For the record, even though I dislike first person shooter video games, I don't believe they cause violent behavior. However, I do believe there's a strong correlation. It's like porn not causing rape, but rapists are obsessed with porn.

Do you have any evidence to support your assertions regarding video games and rapists?

I am just curious, because from what I can see this is exactly the kind of thinking/statements (baseless assumption) that we all abhor from anti-gun people. We need to seek to keep ourselves from falling into these same traps.

I don't know if any of the mentioned correlations exist, but remember correlation does not mean causation. If A correlates well with B, there are at least four possibilities:

1. A causes B.

2. B causes A.

3. C causes both A and B.

4. Coincidence.

Or A & B │││ A or B is more crap BS make believe from our guberment .... why have they not released records to me? I asked for them and they have nobody to arrest .... ôƒ¿

I know the OP heard this on the news ... I just don't believe anything in which the source is the government on this subject anymore

""""An unnamed law enforcement source"""""""""

Is this one of the same sources who said the AR15 was found in Lanzas trunk?

There has been NO confirmed information released in this entire case. It would ALL be thrown out in court as hearsay, including the nutty ME.

One thing I haven't heard a word about is 'Assault games'(call of duty, etc)... Where is the ban talk on that?

I say this jokingly..

No one factor can or will be found as the cause. Something may be blamed, but that is just a political decision. Blaming video games is like blaming guns. They will do anything to "explain" it (and protect the "narrative") so long as they do not have to admit Lanza was evil. Some people just want to cause pain, suffering and death.

I blame one thing: There was no way to defend our children until the police could arrive which would be well after many had been murdered.

You can't stop the nutjobs; they are unpredictable. All you can do is be prepared for them to deal with them when they do something. The folks at that school were prevented from being prepared by State and federal laws. Those kids are dead because of the anti-gunners. I place 100% of the blame on folks like Brady, Kelly, and Feinstein.

+1

I agree, got into an argument with an anti at work (yes we have those in the Marines) her only response was "do you want that many guns around your kids"

I was flabbergasted at such an illogical response. My reply was one gun pointed in the right direction would have done a lot more to protect the children than those gun free zones.

Yeah, they complain about the AR but it was that gun's ricochet that killed him and prevented further killings ... a shotgun would have kept on going

You got a link to something establishing this as a fact? Or are you feeding the "He had an AR-15 in the school," "No, it was in the trunk of his car," back-and-forth?
