.. is there an ad for Kathy Taylor on this forum? As anti gun as she is, how did this happen?
It was one of those little ads at the bottom of the page, but still???

Generally speaking, the ads at the bottom of the page are ther result of some search engine looking at your cookies and feeding you what it thinks those cookies mean you are interested in.

Think of it this way... her organization is spending money to have that advert displayed and there's very little chance of recovering that investment. It's like sending in a $.01 'contribution' to one of the handgun control organizations.
