Sales Tax Increase

I'm calling my County Commissioner, Mr. Brown as soon as their offices open to oppose this. I don't care what stats they use to assert that "crime is rising." We carry because we can't carry a cop on our back. Furthermore, I wish to not live in a slowly increasing police state.

Sales tax was 5.25% when I was kid here.

Why does a PERCENTAGE need to increase to keep up with a greater population?

The sacred cows of "police" and "schools" have NEVER been denied a sales tax increase to get more revenue. God forbid we ask them to spend it more wisely instead.

It's the ol' if it don't work through more money at it. Oh, the last infusion didn't help? We must need to through even more money at it.
