Sales Tax Increase

Sales tax was 5.25% when I was kid here.

Why does a PERCENTAGE need to increase to keep up with a greater population?

The sacred cows of "police" and "schools" have NEVER been denied a sales tax increase to get more revenue. God forbid we ask them to spend it more wisely instead.

It's the ol' if it don't work through more money at it. Oh, the last infusion didn't help? We must need to through even more money at it.
