In addition to full time video on patrol cars, they should also be equipped with cameras facing in the other three directions. Technology has evolved where even a convenience store can watch several different cameras all on the same monitor.
It's time for these "PUBLIC" employees (that are carrying guns) be recorded in ALL their PUBLIC activities. FWIW, recordings could also work to their benefit as well if a false accusation of abuse is made. Also could back up their written reports, that is if they are truthful.
Who knows, the reduction in lawsuits and settlements may pay for all the upgrades.
