This will happen more often when the abortion pill goes OTC ... a lot more

however, your final statement is not accurate, the pill involved in this story is a high dosage type that's only available by prescription. it's not plan B or regular contraceptive that IS available OTC. these types of pills labeled "abortion pills" such as RU486 are tightly controlled and are not just handed out, they're far too dangerous to use outside of medical supervision to ever be OTC. which adds another point, if he actually was using RU486 or a derivative drug of that type he should also be charged with aggravated assault, that could've killed the woman in addition to her baby if administered wrong.
