is the cartoon "spongebob" an allegory?

I've through more and more about this... and it seems that many of the characters on the children's TV show are allegorical to real life...

Take Plankton for instance, what better representation of the US government? in the show plankton is a restaurant owner, but he never has any customers, instead everyone eats at the "Krusty Krab" which sells a cheese burger called "the krabby patty" plankton thinks he'll get the customers if he can copy the secret formula...

so with this problem in mind, Plankton builds multi-million dollar robotic machines with complicated plans that often fail in execution, so he can steal a 2.99 Cheeseburger......

what better representation of the government is there then that?
they love our milk and honey, but they preach about some other way of living, when they're running down my country man they're walkin' on the fightin side of me

Dang, and I was all set to refute the allegation that Spongebob was an allegory about nuclear testing on Bikini Atoll, since SB is set in Bikini Bottom

    EMN, you shock me sometimes.

I like your thoughts on this issue.

With which herd might Sponge Bob run?
I am responsible for my writing, not your understanding of it.

One opinion is that SS and crew is based on the Seven Deadly Sins...

I always thought Sponge bob was an allegory for tampons, since he's super absorbent and is in a Bikini Bottom. Now, what does that say about Mr. Crabs?
