sorry if this has been asked a few times. Everytime I bring up the discussion, or search it online, there's those saying yes and then there's another group saying no.

Reading the law makes me believe if every exit has a sign saying no weapons allowed , then it is illegal for me to conceal carry into the building?

Some people say, yes as long as the sign doesnt post the NRS codes , some say it never applies because how do you know if all the exits have a sign.

Private property has no legal weight on signage. Private property means the business is owned privately, as in not owned by the government.

All a sign on private property means is that that is the stated wishes of the owner. "No guns" has no more weight than "No red shoes." At all times, for any reason that does not violate a civil right, whether there is a sign or not, you must leave when asked by any representative of the business. To refuse or argue is trespassing.

If a PUBLIC building, as in owned by the government (like the state DMV offices) has a sign or metal detector at every public entrance, than concealed carry (only) is prohibited. Even if the sign says "no guns," by law it can only restrict concealed carry, and you may still openly carry. Yes, the DMV is trained on the issue.

Federal government buildings are, of course, completely under federal law, and any carry is pretty much not happening.

Las Vegas city and Clark and Nye County buildings are in violation of state law when they refuse to allow open carry.

To clarify, that means you don't need to look for a sign. And if there is a sign, you can legally ignore it and carry on; you will not be breaking any laws. But why you would want to help support such a business?

Here in Washoe county the I am scared to OC in the Sheriff's office because I have heard stories about them arresting people for that. There are also buildings downtown that say "No weapons allowed" and cite the NRS 202.3673 which I know is only for conceal carry. How would you go about walking into these places? The one downtown is where you get all permits and licenses and stuff so I go in there regularly (trying to start a home business). I park in a casino garage and don't want to leave my gun in the car. Anything could happen walking downtown (I have been assaulted before) and I don't want my car broken into and my gun stolen. Do I try to school the cops on the NRS or get arrested and fight in court which I can't afford to do. I don't want to roll over and comply with their bad interpretation of the law but I have never been to jail and don't want to go now.

I don't know about Washoe County, but here in Clark County, they won't arrest you for carrying at the sheriff's office. They will, however, refuse to conduct your lawful business, and they will harass and hassle you and intimidate you until you leave. They know that if they arrest you, you are going to win a lot of money in a lawsuit after the courts get finished.

State government offices are the easiest to deal with, and they are the most likely to respect state law (preemption). If it is a city government building, well, welcome to the club of those who are violated by their government. I don't want to be the test case, or deal with bullies, either.

I would do that but like I said I am pretty sure I would be harassed and most likely the police would be involved.

actually there is nothing to really worry about. Most places don't even know or care if they have an anti-gun policy, even if there is a sign on the door. Also, going into a private business with a "no guns allowed" sign isn't a crime in and of itself, it's violation of company policy, and they will probably just ask you to leave. The absolute worst they can do without you being a verbal or physical antagonist in the situation is 86 (trespass) you from the property. That is essentially a 6 month restraining order from the property in which only then you can be cited or arrested for returning/refusing to leave.
