Hello everybody. Just joined the forum. Looks like there's a lot of people here who enjoy exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. I just picked up my first handgun, a Taurus Pt1911, last Monday. I live in Jacksonville and read up on the laws as much as I could. I have OC'ed as much as I could. I've been in Walmart, Petsmart and Target with no problems. Hopefully Jacksonville with continue to be OC friendly.

Jacksonville isn't so bad, if you try to ask local and county officials for their understanding of the state law they will likely give you a grievously incorrect interpretation, so just know what you're doing and do it lawfully.

Yeah that seems to be the consensus of the LEO here. I ran into a guy OC'ing in the Sam's Club today and asked if he had had any issues around the area. The only place he was bothered was the Wilmington Mall. I would like to see more in this town exercising their right.
