Going to pick up some kids from a friend while she tends to one being seen and hubby is deployed. Is it OC or carry friendly. Thanks

I am very certain I remember someone posting up a year or so ago about being asked to leave while OC'ing in there.

I don't know of any hospitals that are specifically friendly towards any kind of carry. You hear of no signs posted once in a while, but have never heard of one to explicitly approve.

Love to be wrong on that, but I don't think I am.

Observant ... NOT

So my wife was OCing her Glock 19 ( which is cerakoted pink ) walked to the font desk to find out where family + Kids were. She found out & was told to check in with Security so they could escort her to the room. Security takes her picture and escorts her to the room. As wife is exiting the room with the kids, She bumps into the guy from the front desk & the Security Guard. Guy from front desk says"Got your hands full." Security asks "Is that a firearm" + when she's told yes she says"you can't have that in here" and they both escort her to the door, kids and all...

Can't carry there. I was escorted out a while back. :D. You also can't carry at Norfolk General. There is a sign on the Er entrance door.

2 hospitals I have carried in so far with no issues, Mary View? I believe. It was in Chesapeake. This was 6 months ago visiting a friend with cancer.

Obici in Suffolk would be the other. YMMV though there, because Sentera bought them out, which I believe is also Norfolk General. No signs have gone up since the buy out, so I'll continue to do so until told other wise.

I'll try to double check this info later in the evening.
