Early Monday morning (01:30), there was a shooting near columbus street and Independance blvd in the virginia beach "town center". One dead and 4 wounded, no suspects apprehended.

Shooting appears to have taken place in the stairwell of a parking garage attached to Dick's sporting goods and across the street from Guadalajara Restaurant, around the same time as the guests from the restaurant were leaving following last call. No names have been provided and no one is certain the injured/dead had been guests in the restaurant.
