VANCOUVER, Wash. – A man who caused a panic in Vancouver by carrying a rifle pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a trespassing charge.

Mack Worley told KATU (http://is.gd/NgA9fV) he was exercising his Second Amendment rights and trying to show people it's legal to openly carry a gun in public.

Worley had a rifle slung over his shoulder Saturday evening when he walked into a restaurant and to a fireworks stand. Employees called 911. Parents grabbed their children and ran as officers surrounded Worley.
Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp says Worley had refused requests to leave. Worley says he was on a sidewalk when he was arrested for trespassing.
