"The proposed resolution also would have barred concealed weapons from Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center and allowed county buildings to post signs asking visitors to disclose to county employees that they have a concealed weapon. "I was on the Rolling Hills committee when that decision was made These individuals, this is now their home, and they need to have some protection," VanWychen said.

Human Services Department staff asked the county for permission to prohibit guns in the Human Services building to feel safe. "We have nurses, we have children, we have social workers, we have economic support staff... and you're going to tell me that those people are less vulnerable than the senior citizen residents at Rolling Hills," Las said."
