I cc, most of the time. I was in the Ace hardware store on the westside on a weekday morning.

I had the shoulder holster on, and did not have the coat to go over it, so I just went in as I was. I was pretty low profile, so the clerk and other customers didn't notice, or the customers didn't care.

I went back to the key maker, and when her backed was turned she asked me. "So why do you have a gun on?" I told her - "I didn't have my coat to conceal it".

She says "there is only two girls working here, and we don't have anything to protect ourselves". I was kind of taken back. I told her "you should start practicing with a side arm". and I left.

That was the strangest conversation I had ever. I don't know what would have happened if the manager knew I was open, but obviously there was not one there.

Welcome to OCDO. I've OC'd here in the Oly/Lacey area for over three years with no issue. What that girl said in a way is profound, the realization that they are helpless to provide for their own safety if something were to happen. I don't think she was afraid of you, but you opened her eyes to her own vulnerabilities. As they say, that "aha" moment. I hope you make it to the picnic on the 13th.

Hi thanks..
I do hit the mall - and but I have been cc there every time. On my last visit, I decided to see if they had any declarations, they do, but you have to really look. It is on the right side as you are coming in by the Quarts and Pints entrance, and then you have to scroll down the list and look. It is not plastered right on the entrance door.

Have you OC in the mall?

PS where is the picnic?

No, I don't OC in the mall since they have a "no gun rule". This makes me one of the happiest people in the world, since it gives me more reason not to go in a place I despise in the first place. I do OC in the REI, since I don't actually have to go "in" the mall. The picnic which includes a raffle for a 1911 is: (see sticky at top)

Also, anybody want to car-pool? I have room for two, but you must be OC :).
