Where to shoot near Canon Beach?

Can somebody direct me to a safe place to do some target shooting in the Canon Beach area (or areas south of there)?

The only thing I've found from a google search is:

Cannon Beach, OR

Anybody been there?
Is it a viable indoor range?

Or am I better off at a gravel pit somewhere in the area?
