    New North Carolina law bans cops from destroying guns

    North Carolina lawmakers wanted to strengthen gun rights, and as part of those discussions, passed a measure that prohibits law enforcement agencies from wantonly wrecking guns received during buybacks, or that are otherwise in the hands of officers, unclaimed. Instead, police in the state will now have to donate, keep or sell the guns to licensed dealers, AP reported.

    and in accord with the spirit and intent of this forum's guidelines...

    are you just going to believe fox news regurgitated by the WA Times and provide subjective commentary from western us about Tarheel affairs or do you have a cite for the law and its implementation date?

    in order to present a balanced tirade, i just checked chrome search and after reviewing six pages of commentary not one of the articles mentioned the specific nc statute but goodness it was spreading like wildfire across the media...

    as a side note...where did the firearms bought back by the jacksonville group go?

    to the sheriff or the non-profit group?

    Good question...hope if the non profit got them, they had a PPP.
