I have been looking everywhere trying to figure out if oc is legal in Joplin. I have read about everything that I can find and have been unable to find anything. I haven't seen anyone do it and would like any assistance in finding the facts.

The website for Joplin has a link to their city code. Look under the chapter for offenses against safety and look for weapon offenses. If there isn't anything banning or regulating OC then it is legal. To verify, you can call city hall and speak with "records".

Welcome to OCDO.

I don't know what local law is in Joplin because our state is so jacked up that it's difficult to comply at times but, know this daxtersman.....all of it would've went away (or nearly so) if not for the actions of your man down there, the "honorable" Ron Richard, who switched over to the Democrat party at the last minute last night. You could've been open carrying today w/o concern of harassment from local PD if not for Ron Richard (and Tom Dempsey). He's got to go next time around. We need real conservatives representing us....NOT RINOS!!!

Statement from RR's senate page today:

"I have always been an unwavering advocate of our Second Amendment rights. I started my legislative career by supporting the veto override on the right to carry and continued voting and sponsoring gun legislation during my tenure. As I have stated previously, I took an oath to protect and uphold the U.S. and Missouri constitutions."

I seriously doubt that he has ever read our Constitution......much less the Bill of Rights......"shall not be infringed" is pretty clear to me.
