I just got home from work, son just got home from school, he's in 2 nd grade,,and he wanted to go play at the park. I said ok let's go. We headed to the park, me walking, him on his scooter. Well, we played ball, so on and so forth. After being there for almost an hour, a couple of " questionable " people showed up, my son comes over and hugs me, leaning his head to where my sidearm usually is-- I left without it. He looks up at me and says. --Dad, where's your gun? Lets go, I know you'll protect me, but I feel safer when you have it. All the way home he ripped me a new one for not having it. I feel this is good, I hope, that he feels this way.

+1 for teaching your son that guns in the hands of a good guy are a good thing,
+1 teaching him to recognize the threat of the questionable people, :)
-1 for not carrying everywhere you legally can :uhoh:

Pro Tip: Carry at home too, that way you don't have to worry about leaving without it.

Thanks for the awesome thread. We as parents can undo generations of the anti's brain-washing program one child at a time. Gun control is just a sneaky way of saying people control. Much easier for a government to force unarmed citizens to bow down before them vs well armed citizens.
