Lott asks, Aaron Alexis' fake ID got him on WNY, how could a Brady Check stop him?

" If DC Navy Yard Shooter could get on a military base using someone else's ID, how could background checks have stopped him from buying a gun
From CBS in DC: One gunman — identified as 34-year-old Aaron Alexis of Fort Worth, Texas — is also dead, and police are searching for a second possible attacker who may be disguised in a military-style uniform, authorities say. Alexis is believed to have gotten into the Navy Yard by using someone else’s identification card. It is not yet clear if that individual was an accomplice or if that person’s ID card was stolen."

Not true. Used to be true that they were simply waved on. Not true for many years.

On Wright-Patt (and on every other installation I have been assigned to for many, many years) the car is stopped and the customer has to verify that he ordered the pizza. This process is often time-consuming and pizza-colding.

Dang, I hate to admit it, but Eye is right....I can think of NO installation that just waves anyone through. Some bases don't allow cabs on, even with a service member in the back, with ID, etc...The few cabs allowed on base have to be vetted, driver background checked,a nd their name is on a list of approved drivers at the gates...
Pizza delivery from off base is nearly a thing of the past...Some bases allow, alot don't..The days of getting on an Air Force base with an American express card from the back seat are way over...
